Retired
I am retired having been a New Zealand trained teacher. I married an English priest, starting married life in Birmingham. From there to Brasenose College, Oxford and on to Colombo, Sri Lanka. Returned to New Zealand – Holy Trinity Cathedral, Auckland, before returning again to Birmingham to be on the staff of the CMS Training College. After eight years, we moved to Cumbria and then on to the Salisbury Diocese where Peter was Bishop of Ramsbury. Up again to Bradford in Yorkshire for a retirement post as Assistant Bishop of Bradford. We returned again to the south to retire in Lechlade, Gloucestershire, working together as ever for fifteen years with asylum seekers and refugees in Swindon. We have three children, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
I'd love to connect socially
In 1955 in my final year at school, I went on a ski trip to Mount Ruapehu as a group of prefects. Disaster struck on the first morning as, never having skied before, I sat heavily on a large rock and tore my brand-new ski pants! Margaret and Janet McLean (twins) shared this experience with me and they were two of my bridesmaids. I am closely in touch with them to this day.
